ADECOSE is an independent association that was founded in 1977 to defend the interests of insurance and reinsurance brokers. The professionalism of our members has allowed us to consolidate our position as a qualified and influential representative, dealing with the authorities and the insurance market, at a national and a European level.

ADECOSE brings together leading companies from the insurance mediation sector who have similar structures and competitive capacities. The Association is on the Insurance and Pension Funds Advisory Board. We are represented by our president, Martín Navaz, who holds a seat on the board, giving us a privileged position for the analysis of the sector’s regulations.

We also hold the presidency of BIPAR (European Federation of Insurance Intermediaries), and we belong to the Insurance and Reinsurance Group of the European Insurance Authority (EIOPA), represented by our treasurer Juan Ramón Plá.

The Ordinary General Meeting, held on 23 June 2020, ratified the incorporation of ASECORE (Spanish Association of Reinsurance Brokers), making them an institutional member of ADECOSE. With this incorporation, ADECOSE has brought together almost 100% of insurance and reinsurance brokers.

Defending the interests of associate brokers

We represent and defend the interests of all our associate brokers regarding to the authorities and other economic and social sectors, in accordance with the Association’s Statutes.

We promote innovation within mediation, as well as the creation of services and networks that are international in nature, allowing for corporate interrelation and exchange.

Recognition of the figure of the broker

We inform people about the importance of the functions of a broker in relation to risk management advice, in an attempt to have their value recognised by society in general.
